Jerri Freeman Day

I was married but now divorced.  We had two children, Sherri and Rick.  Sherri has two children, Nick, 25  and Kacie, 20.  Nick has my only great grand child, Braydon.  Rick has two children, Cheany, 12 and Emma,8 and 2 step sons, Patrick, 21 and Jason, 18.

I worked 12 years at RCA, 9 years at Graves Real Estate and 8 years at Marsh where I am still working.

I have been single 29 years.  Some of them by choice and some not.  I have finally bought my retirement home.  So maybe the kids won’t put me in a nursing home.  I do not think of myself being 68 years old only when I work in my yard or dance too much then,  I can believe it.  Right now I’m sitting here writing this and I have the pink eye have never had it before but this year I’ve had it 3 times that is because I work in Fieldings Play House at Marsh watching kids from 3 to 7 years old.  My poor dog gets it every time I do.

I lost my senior cords a long time ago and all I have left of my cheer  leading sweater is the big gold and blue “C”.  My daughter lost my class ring.  I figure in 50 years I have made a lot of little mistakes and a few big ones.

Thalous Key

My wife and I lived in Wisconsin for 17 years.  We both took early retirement and sold everything and moved on our sailboat and headed south for warmer weather.

We crossed Lake Michigan, went into Canada for three weeks, went down thru Detroit to Lake Erie.  Crossed Erie to New York then took the Erie Barge Canal to the Hudson River.  We took the Hudson south to New Jersey, went via the ocean around New Jersey, then cut back to the inter costal waterway.  Again still going south to the Chesapeake Bay then south thru North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.  When we to got to Daytona Beach, FL, we stopped for a few months which turned into four years.  We made several stops on the way staying a few months up to a year.  After living on boats for 10 years, we bought a house, restocked with furniture, dishes, etc.  and moved back to a house.

We have no desire to move back so we can shovel snow.  Very nice in Florida.  I hope all of you have a great reunion.

We go back to Wisconsin once a year to visit our son and his family.  But our visit time with our son will not coincide with the reunion dates.

Don  King

After graduation, I worked at Conner Prairie Farm in the swine department.  For five years, I worked with farmers all over the state that were raising breeding stock for Conner Prairie.  I left Conner Prairie and bought my first truck and hauled feed for Moorman Feed Company.  After several years, I became a supervisor for Time Life, Inc. at a warehouse in Indianapolis and also started farming with my dad.

I retired in 1980 after 15 years with Time Life.  I farmed full time for 12 years and at the same was starting my own trucking company part time.  I quit farming in 1992 and spent full time with trucking, hauling steel strapping from Chicago to Indy and seed for Callahan and grain for local farmers.

In 1999, I semi-retired and now haul mostly grain from local farmers.  I am working thru Waitt Elevator at Westfield.  I feel if I’m 100 miles from home, that I am 50 miles too far.

I hope in the near future to completely retire and play golf, fish and bug Marilyn.

Tom Long

I was born at the corner of Second and Second Northeast June 25, 1937.  I live at 6270 E. 161st St., Noblesville 46062.  My phone is 317-776-0693.  My email is TOMLIN53@aol.com.

With 8 of you, I went to Carmel 12 years and studies were  very difficult for me.  I got some help in 1967 and improved my reading skills and it opened a new world --- books.

I was stationed at Fort Rucker, Alabama when I was in the Army.  After my stint in the army, I bought a 40 foot cabin cruiser and lived on it for 3 years.  I still dream about having another boat and hope to do so soon.

In 1958, I married Sue Jessup and we had two daughters.  We divorced in 1973.

I was married and divorced a couple more times.   All of this nonsense must have drawn God’s attention, because at His insistence we became quite close.  My daughters saw the change and followed to become Christians as well as my grandchildren.

In 1985 you met Linda in Louisville shortly after we were married.  This past year has been a rough one for us.  Her mother passed away March 1 and my mother passed away March 17.  At this point, Linda is taking care of her 81 year old father in Kentucky.

I wouldn’t begin to guess as to how the next chapter in my life will be written , nothing has been as I would have predicted, but it hasn’t been dull.

Sara Pike Morris

I live in San Diego, CA.  I graduated from Indiana University in 1959 with a BS degree in Social Work/Sociology.  I was married once and divorced once and had no children.  I am still happy about all of that.

I retired February 1996 after 35 years with the San Diego County Probation Department.  I worked all four departments of the agency, juvenile casework, juvenile institutions, adult casework and adult institutions.

Since retiring, I’ve been moving as fast as I can, trying to out run old age but it seems to be winning.  Actually I enjoy good health and am still very active.  I volunteer 2 days a week for the American Cancer Society doing mostly bookkeeping and paperwork in one of their resale stores.  I go to the gym 3 days a week, walk/jog 3 days and do all that so I can still backpack, ski, dance and travel.  To keep my brain going, I’m still trying to master the computer and have taken up bridge.  The rest of my time is spent trying to maintain my house and yard.  I’m losing that battle too.
